Hello All: I'm thinking of making cupcake bouquets but am unsure which icing is best. I don't want the frosting to fall off the cuppies! Also, I've heard to use kabab skewers rammed into a styrofoam ball...is this the best way? Thanks!!

I use medium (not thin and not stiff) buttercream. Yes use the styro ball and skewers or toothpicks.

i think you can pretty much use any BC. i've even used whipping cream, even that held up / stuck on well.

Thanks for the replies. Did you guys fill the empty spaces with leaves or colorful paper shreds?

Oh, I had forgotten about that. I did do a batch with Rich's Bettercreme. I filled in my spaces by making buttercream leaves. You can fill in however you wish. Maybe do one with icing leaves and one with paper shreds and see which you prefer.
