I have a customer who wants me to do a 60"s cake for her mother's 60th birthday. She wants me to include burning bra, vw bus, etc. on the cake - no peace signs. I need some ideas. I don't have access to an airbrush for tye dye. Please help. I have 2 weeks to come up with an idea. HELP!! icon_smile.gif Thank you.

I did a "tye-dye" design using different colors of fondant. Check out my sixties cake with the smiley face.

One of the most popular TV shows of the 60s was Rowan & Martin's Laugh In. The background for that would make a really cool cake and one of the catch phrases was "Sock-it-to-me!." Yeah, I am old. LOL

Especially cool on a topsy turvey.

I am trying to attach a pic of what it looks like. Let's see if it works.

This is a riot! I was just asked to do a 60s theme birthday cake too! I made a list of 60s icons and they immediately went for the VW bus (apparently they had one!). So, I'll be making a 3D 1969 VW bus in lime green with lots of flowers and smiley faces...what a funny coincidence! Good luck with yours!

Be sure to get the flowers right - very round tips, bright bright colors.
