I was disappointed with the ACD cakes and articles. I finally found this one. I thought ACD was behind the times. Pastry & Baking is more cutting edge.

Well, I was beginning to think I was the only one who had not received an issue of ACD magazine!!!! I like some of you, subscribed in December, and have not received anything as of yet!!!!!!
And if they send me a renewal notice before I even receive one issue, I'll just politely give them a call AND a piece of my mind...............
You'd think in this day and age a company would do better............
I subscribed last Sept., got the 1st mag (Dec. Jan.) in late Jan. after the holidays. Now the Feb./Mar. issue has not yet come.
It sounds to me as if there is trouble with mag.(financial possibly????) other wise why is it consistently late. I will not be renewing my subscription. Wasn't very impressed with the one issue I received anyway.
Wow. Years ago I considered subscribing to this mag, but I heard too many complaints about mailing delays, poor customer service, etc., so I decided not to give them my money. It looks like they haven't changed at all.
I dont have a subscription to Wedding Cakes because you can get them at Barnes And Noble in the wedding mag area and sometimes I can get the others at Jo Anne's but those I can not get regularly but the the one at Barnes and Noble are always there. Hope this helps. And I hope all Barnes and Noble are the same. I have found them in 3 different states
Thanks Smallfrye! I'll have to check it out. I've never heard of Wedding Cakes. But we have a Barnes and Noble down the street. 
You think you have it bad with ACD mailing - add international shipping to the mix (to Canada) and that adds at least another month to the delay!! GRR!! 
As I said in my previous post, I love my new British mags. But, they are all pictures...no articles - if this is what you buy ACD for, then stick with them.
Finally got my Feb/Mar issue yesterday. Some great photo's and a couple with complete instructions (Nickolas Lodge). But no freebies that were promised. Has anyone received the free sheets that were to be included with the subscriptions ordered in Dec?
I still haven't received my first issue! So definitely none of the freebies either. I sent them another email stating that if I don't get my issue by Monday the 23rd I am cancelling and want full refund issued to my credit card or I am calling the BBB.
Beware though...it will take you forever to get your first issue. I bought a subscription to ACD back in November and have yet to get my first issue (today is now Feb 2!) But I have received my renewal notice! Can you believe it! I received a bill telling me my subscription was up soon and to renew now at a discounted rate!...Yeah right, I just paid you for a whole year online, received my receipt via email, get all the little email ACD spams, but still no magazine. Even wrote to the customer service dept. and got an email saying I would get my issue soon, that was over a month ago, but what an insult to get a card telling my subscription is almost up when It actually, obviously, hasn't even begun!
Wow! same thing happened to me.... But I did get one in mail today!!! 
Finally... It has some nice pictures...
I wish there were more cake magazines to choose from.
This months Acd had alot less pages in it . Usually had abount 30 more.

I FINALLY got my Feb/Mar issue on Monday of this week!!!! But no, no freebies either.........and is the magazine usually that thin???? I mean, I don't think there were 25 pages in it!!!!! (There probably were, but it was VERY thin for a magazine....especially one that expensive!!!!!)
My inlaws ordered for this for me last August as a Bday gift. I have yet to receive a copy...When I ask they keep extending my subscription period. I am supposed to receive the Feb/Mar by the 29th.

From what I've noticed, they come when they do. But since it's a bi-monthly magazine, it usually appears the second month.
Btw, for those who felt they missed out on a Dec/Jan issue, check out the letter from the editor in the current...he apologizes.
