Have a wedding in April and bride is requesting a hazelnut cake with chocolate ganache filling. Does anyone have a killer hazelnut cake recipe or made adjustments to the WASC?
You can make the WASC and just add hazelnut flavoring...
Or what I would do is take a french vanilla box mix (thats what I use when I am adding other flavors, as my base) add the cake extender recipe, sub the water on the back of the box for 1 cup of half and half whisked with 2 tbsp of vinegar and 1/4 cup of Frangelico (which is a hazelnut liquor) and 1/4 cup of water. Be generous with the oil. Instead of the vanilla I would add a good tbsp. of hazelnut flavoring.
Also for an awesome chocolate filling, add some Nutella to your ganache or chocolate BC.
Thanks Jayde...this sounds yummy and looks easy. I prefer to use WASC and just make adjustments. Can't wait to try it. This wedding is not until April
