I am planning a trip to Raleigh next week and wondered where is the best place to go for cake supplies.
I plan to be in the Crabtree Valley area if that is helpful. Thanks!!!

The only cake supply store in this area that I know about is the NC Paper Company in Clayton. I wish there were more in this area!

WOW really???!!!! That just seems odd to me. It's such a large area one would think they had everything!

Whenever I get Raleigh, I ALWAYS go to Papertown!! They have Satin Ice, LOTS of cake boards, boxes, colorings, and other items. They have so many party supplies - you will just love going there. It is an unassuming building, but take a chance and go. Hope you enjoy your trip! Here is a link to their website: www.papertown.com

I will have to check them out to. I usually drive to Clayton to NC Paper Co. I did not know about Paper Town.

Papertown is really hit or miss. They always have a nice supply of cake boards and boxes. As far as cake supplies they are very limited to what they carry besides satin ice in limited colors and some gels. They are more of a party supplier like Party City.

I guess it all depends on the adventure and what small town you are coming from. Good luck on your quest.

It's called Crafts Frames 'n Things. It's on Owen dr 108 Owen drive

They have more than Michaels but still is not the best one I've been to... that one is in Phoenix.

I was just there this Sat and did notice that they are starting to carry more inventory. Be prepared to pay for it though.

Thanks! Yeah, I know what you mean about paying for it. I was looking at all my "toys" (I am NOT a professional - just fun and hobby), the other day, and was almost taken aback by what I have spent on a hobby. Thankfully, I have a very dear husband who supports me.
