Hi all! I recently purchased the NordicWare Williams Sonoma train cake pan to take the easy way out on my nieces birthday cake! Have any of you used it??? It's the one with the 9 different train cars that come out ready to decorate. I just wanted some good ideas on how to decorate it. I know, the possibilities are endless but being so new at this, I like seeing things to get ideas.

Thanks,
Mar

I do not own this pan, but I borrow it from a friend whenever I need it. I think it looks best when it has frosted accents and not frosted all over. However, when I think about it, it may look great with fondant. I'm just not experienced with fondant.
I admit I never actually decorated it (them?) I bake a pound cake recipe and let my 3 year old grand kids have at it with all types of candies, sprinkles and frosting. They are thrilled to do this, as most kids are, and they are sooo proud of the finished cakes.
