I make ice cream cakes. I am in the process of making my first choc. chip cookie dough icecream cake. The cake is chocolate. I usually add an extra layer of chocolate ganache filling, or sometimes caramel-butterscotch. I don't eat CCD icecream, so I'm not sure what flavors go well with it?? I tasted a bit and it seems very sweet. Would you recommend the choc. ganache layer, or the butterscotch-caramel...or both? Would both be "too much" going on?
If you really think it is necessary, go with the chocolate.
