Hi everyone, its 11pm in UK and ive just finished my orders for the week. This was the craziest week ever - i had 6 orders and i work 9-5 monday to friday as a secretary so the cakes are a lovely sideline at the minute, hopefully to become more in the future. Anyway, i just wanted to share the cakes i did this week and one from last week. Having mostly been working with dummy cakes and only having had sold 3 cakes before the past fornight, i can't believe how much more confident I am and how much faster, etc i am working with real cakes now. while dummies are great to mess around with, real cakes definitly teach you so much more!!

Anyway, sorry to waffle, but having had extremely late nights since saturday im just exhausted and very satisfied!!

I cant believe this is taking off for me, i have an order for the next three weeks and a wedding cupcake tower for september! i just always think i cant do stuff but now im getting a little more self confidence.

No wonder your business is growing, those are very beautiful cakes!!!

All great cakes Cathy. You sure have been busy. My favorite is the one with a pink bow and black dots. What did you use for the lettering for 'With thanks David'?

Thanks! the lettering was done with FMM Funky Font alphabet cutters. they are so easy to use with gumpaste and i love the look of them.

Your cakes are all just beautiful! You are doing really nice work with your fondant figures too. Congrats on your cake business picking up..........after looking at your pics I am not surprised at all you are getting more and more orders.

The with thanks ones, pink daisy and globe ones are 10 inches.

the cream numbers one and the cream with the pink bow are 6 inches and the wendy one was 8 inches.
