I am doing brushed embroidery on fondant cake and need to know how much bc to use and how much piping gel to add in it? Please help.
I've used Royal Icing, pipe the design on, then a damp paint brush decorate as usual. I wouldn't use too much piping gel with the BC. You don't want it too "watery". HTH
I've used both buttercream and royal icing. (royal lasts longer but bc is ok if that's all you have )
you don't need piping gel, just a slightly damp brush
Here's how I do it:
I use my regular buttercream recipe, thin it a little with corn syrup, and once the cake has crusted I start piping. I use a dry brush, haven't tried it with a wet one.
