I have been a long time owner and fan of the Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. My old mixer is a classic series and I need more guts. I was set on the professional 6 quart stand mixer but thought I would do a little research just to be safe. I was very surprised to have heard a lot of really good things about the new Cuisinart models. The information I found from America's Test Kitchen confirmed my findings. In fact they actually felt the Cuisinart outperformed the Kitchen Aid!
I was wondering if any of you have any information on these new mixers and if they really stand up to the Kitchen Aid brand. Or if any of you believe there is a better mixer than the 2 in question, I would love to hear any comments.

I have a friend that has the Cuisinart and she loves it. Says it works much better than the KA did. Have fun shopping!

Sorry I can not help, my KA is over 30 years old and still kicking. I keep hoping it dies cause I want a bigger bowl on my next one. LOL
