Do You Have A Favourite Cc Cake?

I was reading bakerbear's post about making your own birthday cake earlier, she was asking if it was sad to make your own cake. I don't think it is and with my birthday coming up next month I thought it might be fun to start planning. I can use it as an excuse to maybe get some new tools and try things I've never done before.

So I sat down tonight and went through my favourites, I thought that since it is just for me I could try and recreate something that has really wowed me, it could be fun and a real challenge except I've fallen at the first hurdle I can't choose just one cake. At the moment my shortlist has 18 on it. So, my question is;

Is there one cake on CC that you love above all others?

If so, do you want to share?

I agree, too many to choose from. But these are some of the very first cakes I ever saw here, and they made me say "You can do that with CAKE?" so they will always hold a special place in my heart

Ginger08's tiki hut cake
adven68's jack in the box
cakesunleashed's country baby bath

I agree with everyone that it's nearly impossible to pick favorites. It's like asking me which of my kids I like most!!!

If you held that gun to my head, I'd have to say that there are two wedding cakes that make my jaw drop and my head spin...

If I had to pick my favorite grossy-gross cake, no competition...

(Sorry, I don't have links for them, but the artist's name is in the title as in "by ______ on CC")

I'm so glad I caught this thread early. I've looking at every pic and so far I've added 4 new ones to my favorites. I couldn't believe none of my favorites had been posted until I saw Blondiez Bakery..we have VERY similar taste. My all time favorite cake was listed by Blondiez but I'm putting in my vote for

But the chocolate and gold cake someone post was AMAZING.

Thanks for starting this.

I was wondering where you were! There is this wild and crazy "Officially Embarrassed" thread in the lounge and I just couldn't believe I didn't see you there! Especially the last several pages where Edna was posting pics of half naked men icon_eek.gif
It is locked now and a second thread with similar name is going.
I was gone for a few days and when I came back and saw that thread and no you...I was afraid people would think we finally got together and really did get arressted!!!!
Glad to see your here safe and sound...well safe anyhow...were you ever sound?? icon_razz.gif

Hey sillywabbitz.... icon_smile.gif glad to know someone else has similar taste as me. icon_smile.gif As I started collecting my favorites, I said to myself... "there seems to be a theme here".
