Hey, my hubby just passed his master's final exam. I'd like to make him a cake, but am completely dry on ideas. His ms is in space stuff, so I was thinking about something like that. However, black icing is so gross, so I don't know what to make.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
How about a stack of text books? Maybe with a graduation cap on top or something. The books could also be books on space, etc. That could work!

Using the ball pan I would make, earh or the moon something like that... you could also make a telescope
What about a book cake with a title from one of his texts? You could drape a fondant "exam" paper over the top. There are some great 3d text book cakes in the gallery.
HTH & CONGRATS to your hubby!

I'm not so crazy about the book cakes. I guess I love books so much I wouldn't want to eat one. Weird, I know. I like the moon cake idea, but don't have a ball cake pan yet. hmm. . .
How about the solar system? Do the sportsball cake and have a bunch of little "planets" on wires all around???? Science Project 101!!!!
I'm liking the solar system idea. I may need to buy a ball pan tonight and surprise him tomorrow.
