Hey, my hubby just passed his master's final exam. I'd like to make him a cake, but am completely dry on ideas. His ms is in space stuff, so I was thinking about something like that. However, black icing is so gross, so I don't know what to make.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

What about a book cake with a title from one of his texts? You could drape a fondant "exam" paper over the top. There are some great 3d text book cakes in the gallery.

HTH & CONGRATS to your hubby!

I'm not so crazy about the book cakes. I guess I love books so much I wouldn't want to eat one. Weird, I know. I like the moon cake idea, but don't have a ball cake pan yet. hmm. . .

I'm liking the solar system idea. I may need to buy a ball pan tonight and surprise him tomorrow.
