I am making a fondant sign for one of my cakes. I want to paint it in using luster dust but I also need to write on it (using food markers) Which would you do first? Paint or write? Thanks!

Paint it first, let it dry then write on it. That way the writing "pops". icon_biggrin.gif

I agree. paint first, let it dry really well then write. But have in mind sometimes the pen doesnt want to write well over painted surfaces..
