Hello everyone,

I am making ice cream cone cupcakes for the first time and wondered how far in advance they can be made? Does it make a difference whether they are iced or not?

Thank you so much

Well, I've done them several times. The cone itself gets almost 'stale' just from baking; kind of chewy. The cupcake part will stay nice and moist for several days though if it's iced. I'm sorry, I don't know how long they will last if not iced. HTH!

I don't make ice cream cone cupcakes more than 24 hours in advance. In my opinion they tend to dry out after that.

Really? Mine seemed fine! I didn't even cover them with anything because of the icing, but I did have a TON of icing covering them. I have to admit though, I made them before I learned about doctoring mixes so they were just straight boxed mixes, and, I didn't know what a truly moist cake was. Hmmm......now I'm going to have to try them again!
