I am going to be making these two Tinkerbell cakes for a birthday party. It is for a friend, and she insists I give her a price. What do you all think is a fair price?

How many will that combo serve?

The mini Tinkerbell cake I charge $8.00 for (it's just a cupcake inverted and decorated, but the kit is the main cost on it) and the 2 tier no less than $3.50 a serving for a BC cake which is what this one is.

Edited because I am half asleep here...LOL!

It also depends on what kind of filling they want, is it just bc filling or some special filling? I would charge $2.50 serv. PLUS the topper.

Thanks for the suggestions, now I have something to go from. The small one actually says its two 4" cakes. and I'm not sure how big the other one is, it was a picture I was sent. I'm still new at decorating, I would have charged her way less!

I have a Wilton Yearbook with that exact tiered cake in it (either 2008 or 2009) you may be able to even find the instructions on the Wilton website as far as colors, number of RI accents needed, etc. I love that one, I wish I had a reason to make it but with 3 sons I guess I'll just have to hope a friend's daughter wants a Tinkerbell party someday icon_smile.gif.

It will be just BC filling and done for 30 people. Also, she says now she'd like to have cupcakes for the class, any cute ideas to go with the TInkrbell theme?

Same color buttercream (stipe the bag for purple/blue two tone) as on the cake and add some little pink RI flowers & cake sparkles. I did a few like that for the little girl next door and she loved it.

So did you figure out how much you're going to charge? Just curious!

Ugh, not really. I was thinking $10 for the small one, depending on how much the topper costs me.... The larger one, it will be for 30 people so I was thinking $40-50. I'm still really new to decorating and dont feel I can charge a whole lot, I want to get a few under my belt before I price higher.... Horrible therory I'm sure. icon_redface.gif
