I took a vanilla box cake mix and added chocolate chips to it. when i baked it all the chips sank to the bottom of the cake. thumbsdown.gif How can i make a Chocolate chip Cake with all the chips inside teh cake as opposed to on the bottom, (actually, since i inverted the cake, the chips were all on teh top making it difficult to ice evenly.)

Two things can help--adding pudding mix to the recipe and/or tossing the chips in a bit of flour before adding them in. The pudding mix thickens the batter, which keeps the chips suspended better. The flour coating seems to do the same thing.

This is what I do for chocolate chips, blueberries, etc. -- anything that may settle in the batter - and it works great!
