I have a friend that wants me to make an R2D2 cake but she wants it make out of buttercream. Do you think that the fondant pieces that make up R2 will stay on? And if I use the 6 in rounds how high would I have to go for it to feed 30 people? I was thinking of making his arms out of rice cripy treats but then can I frost them or would they have to be covered in fondant and would that look weird will all bc. Thanks in advance for the help I'm so confused hehe

I searched for info on making a 3D version of R2D2 without success. icon_sad.gif

Found some nice photos, though:

I found this tutorial...it's the red droid, not the blue, but you can change that very easily. Although they used fondant, the actual cake construction is here, including the rice krispie treats parts. It might give you ideas at least.

Be sure and post a picture when you are done! thumbs_up.gif
