How do you stop choclate showpieces from melting?

Hmmm... Is it room temp? As long as the chocolate has been tempered correctly you shouldn't have melting issues.

Yup, if the chocolate has been tempered it should not melt ,unless it kept in a warm environment. You could also spray with eible food lacquer to protect it from elements.
