Hi,

can anyone tell me what these white sprinkles are called in these pics?

they don't really look like non-pareils because they are aren't very round, and they don't look like coloured sugar because they are opaque?

TIA

strange...my first thought was just that it was white royal icing with a very small tip.

if they are sprinkles...i've never seen any like them.

To me they look like they are silver dragees. Here is a link to a place that sells them.

It is definately royal icing. You should use a very small tip and make a bunch of small dots clustered together.

Yes, tujy is right. It is from King Arthur flour. I have it. It is great for winter/christmas time because it looks like snow. I think used it on my stocking cookie (in my pics one of the last cookies - in a group of xmas cookies). Anyway, that's what it is.

It's definitely pearl sugar. King Arthur Flour. $5.95 for a 1-lb bag. Love that stuff!
