I need to make some dragonfly cupcake toppers and was wondering if anyone has done this before and would I use the butterfly cutter for the wings?

Help - dont need them til April but need to get started.

Thanks

I used to a templet from the book "CONFETTI" it's for a cookie, after I traced it onto parchment paper, I placed theparchment paper over my fondant and lightly traced it again, this time with my vein tool just to get the imperssion on the fondant and cut it out. I let dry for 4 nights (enough to make it hard); OH and I took a cardboard and folded it in half and put the fondant where it folds so the the wings get dried in an upward position. then I made some balls (size will be to your liking) and attached them with edible glue then let dry for a week. The ones I made were about 3 1/2 inches long and brushed luster dust on the wings(you can't really tell in this picture). I hope this helps you...

I had lots of fun making these, I hope you have fun too!
