Is the wire I buy at a hardware store the same as the kind I would buy at a florist shop? I bought 22 gauge steel wire for my butterflies and they are to heavy. So I either made them to thick (if I made them thinner they couldnt have a wire in them) or I bought the wrong kind of wire. Is there a difference? Can I buy florist wire at a hobby store like Hobby Lobby?

Yes it is different. You can purchase floral wire from a florist, Walmart, hobby shops, and sometimes Dollar stores. The larger the number the thinner the wire.
