Question About The Diameter Of A Cake Round

I was wondering if anyone knew what the diameter of a 8 inch cake round is? I am making a fondant castle side and I don't have a fabric ruler.

Do you mean the circumference?

The diameter would be 8"...if you're talking about the circumfrence, all the way around the cake you could use a string or something like that to measure with. Hope this helps.

Circumference is pi* diameter.

Yeah I meant circumference...my bad. I have had a bad day with these cakes so I'm a little scatter brained! lol

I didn't think about using a string. I'll do that now.

the diameter is 8--measure across the center of the circle

the circumfrence around the outside of the cake is diameter times pi--so
8 X 3.141= 25. 128 (without frosting)
