Tonight I had my second lesson in Wilton Course 3. A question came up on how to serve cake decorated with fondant. I plan to take cake to office tomorrow and need to know do I take off fondant before serving?

Thanks so much in advance to all those that help! icon_biggrin.gif

not many people like the taste of wilton fondant but no you don't take it off the cake first. it is edible and it is a dough made of sugar and other ingredients. as you move on there are very good recipes here on cc for great tasting fondant. but just cut, serve and enjoy your cake.

Leave/remove fondant from cake before serving:
