I was going to make my own Strawberry filling, but I got side tracked and now we are in the middle of a snow storm, so I took the easy way and I went to our town's Ice Cream Palor and I bought a qt of their Strawberry Sauce that they use for sundae's. Here is my questions, how do I thicken it up to use as a filling in between my cakes and has anyone ever done this before?

Thanks

I haven't tried this exact thing before, but I would use equal parts cornstarch and water. I'm assuming that the sauce can be heated up?

What about cornstarch? I've never tried it but it works for gravy. I would imagine you'd have to heat it up, pull a little out and mix the corn starch into that and then add it back in. It should thicken more as it cools.
