It's not a purse, it's a diaper bag, but I have a step-by-step tutorial here:

I would like to make one too just to practice icon_wink.gif , but I am scared can the experts tell me if it is too hard to carve? I want to make the LV (just a simple purse)

Thank you so much and I am sorry sarahpierce for posting my comment in yours, I hope you don't mind. icon_redface.gificon_redface.gif

I have made several purse cakes. The carving is the easiest part. The cakes that i have made required little fondant. I used buttercream for the covering, and then used a paint roller to get the texture of leather. I have my cakes shown in the directory, or you can look them up in my photos. I have created 2 LV purse cakes and a Coach purse cake as well.

I have only made one purse cake but it was really easy and turned out great! Just take a round cake (size is up to you) cut it in half and put those pieces together and then decorate! That is the best part! lol. Hope that helped a little! Let me know if you need more info on the cake. Good luck!
This is the purse I did for a friend for her bday.
