I just received a request for a birthday cake - yellow cake with a chocolate filling that's "not too sweet". First of all, what is your favorite "go to" yellow cake recipe. Second, I would love some suggestions for making a chocolate filling that meets the requirement. Thanks so much!
What about making a scratch pudding and leave out about 1/2 the sugar?
Whipped chocolate ganache? I use Ghiradelli's semi-sweet chocolate chips when I make it and it's not overly sweet at all. It is rich, though.
