This is a cool problem to have. I sent DH to the store just before Christmas for some last-minute ingredients, including some white chocolate for a giveaway cake I was making for a local charity. Usually, I just use Bakers for such things and it works fine.
Well, he returns with two bars of VERY good chocolate brand, claiming he couldn't find anything else. Maybe so. But I'd never have bought this for my personal baking due to sticker shock. And THEN I had to change what I was making for the charity due to another problem (such as DH forgetting to get a few other ingredients. Sigh. He tries ... )
So, here I am with 8 oz. of very high-quality white chocolate I would otherwise never have purchased. Does anyone have any suggestions of something worthy of it? In particular, a cake filling would be nice because my mom's birthday is this weekend ... but any other suggestions would be welcome too.
Thanks.
