Sorry I can't help you, but I was wondering what tutorial you watched? I want to make this cake too and I don't even know where to start. Thanks.

This is the same tutorial I used for my first thomas cake. I used Debbie Browns tutorial for my second thomas cake. And this tutorial is much easier to understand, and it makes a bigger cake.

Sorry Debbie, I still love ya.

Tammy great tutorial !!! I have only used the Thomas cake pan and made the face from fondant. I cut the cake in half and fill with buttercream, ice the whole thing and if more cake is needed put on top of another cake. I am going to try your tutorial next time.

Thanks for starting this thread, I logged on to look for ideas on a Thomas cake I am doing soon. The tutorial link is a really good one, but anyone know where I can find Debbie Browns that was mentioned so I can compare the two?

I believe the tutorial you are looking for is in one of Debbie's books.

Thanks for the link Tammy! I don't know if I will buy the book or not, but it looks like it would have a lot of great ideas.
