Hubby knew how much I wanted a tattoo that signified "baking", so he gave me this as part of my Christmas gift this year.
My childhood friend, Carrie, and I have a very funny story about attempting baking at my house and accidentally melting the cord on our hand mixer by letting it rest on the stove....whoops. My dad is a very quiet man usually, but got pretty pissed at us for that. We were little brats though and thought it was quite hilarious.
I found a few designs online (with the help of my friend Lisa!) and took some ideas to the artist at our first appointment. I wanted it to be a nod to the 70's as well (because I was a 70's kid), so he did it in seafoam green and gave it a pretty retro look. The cord twists in an "S" shape to represent the letter of my last name too.
I had my appointment yesterday and here it is on my upper arm. (Yes, I need a tan. Gimme a break! It's January in Canada.....)
Awesome!
Also want to say hi to another kingstonian/torontonian! I grew up near ktown and now live in the GTA! So Hi!
It looks great! I was thinking about getting one myself (like a wedding cake or KA).
Maybe I'll get one this year
