...Ice cream cake? I have 2 IC Cakes ordered and not sure wha may be the best choice to make for BC that will freeze well and taste good. Should I just stick to the simple BC and maybe use more Crisco and less butter?
Thanks!

Dixie's Icing makes a buttercream just for ice cream cakes. The local Dairy Queens here use it. Check out her web site http://www.dixiesicing.com/ It's very good and freezes and well.

I would use whatever BC recipe you like. I've never had a problem.

Thanks so much. I made one with my reg buttercream, and it worked fine but a bit heavy. So I may try the whipped /Dixie and see if I'll have a few options available. Thanks again !!

When I worked as a decorator in an ice cream store, we used Rich's Bettercreme.
