I need tips for making fondant letters. If I don't have the option of cookie cutters, what are your recommendations? I have been known to print out my lettering, place the paper on top of my rolled fondant and trace over the top of it to make the impression of the letters, then carefully cut them out. It's kind of a pain. There's got to be an easier way!

If you don't have cutters than you have to cut them by hand....or else pipe outlines with royal icing and flood.

Yes, watch Edna's video! It's great - all of her videos are great, though. You will see how cool tappits are.

When I get more cake money I'm gonna have to order some more tappits. Last year the script was out of stock so I just got the print ones.... once you figure out how to do them, they are pretty cool. I just don't use them as much as I'd use the script, or the funky ones.

Sugarcraft is coming out with a lower case set of the funky alphabet letters as well. Can't wait to get them - they should be available any time!

what is the difference between tappits and jem cutters?
i have the jem cutters and they are a pain to use? i cant seem to get the gumpaste or fondant out of there without messing them up. i have to use a toothpick to get them out.
thanks!

And if you want total freedom to use any font in the world, which there aren't cutting tools for...you can try this. I love it!

I have the funky letters but have yet to use them because I could not get them to work the first time I tried. I have a cake to make tonight for a 16th birthday Friday night. I am going to try them again with the way Edna does on her video!!! YAY!
