I had to make my flowers and leaves days before I put them on my cake. Of course they were hard and not pliable anymore. How do I soften them (fondant) so when I have to make things advance and can form them to the cake. Thanks.

maybe spritz with a little water, or someting like crisco? but i think u will still get cracking if u manage to move it. u might be better trying to plan where each flower is going, and create a mould for it to dry on.

you can keep them in plastic bag and they will stay softer

what do you use to apply fondant decorations? water?
