I want to do a picture of Father Time and Baby New Year peeking around a grandfather clock and haven't done either method before. Any suggestons on which works better or is the easiest to do?

NOt sure what you are talking in 'gel transfer' but what I know as that is a drawing done on wafer paper w/piping gel. This to me would be easier than a FBCT.

A gel transfer might be easier, but a FBCT typically provides more detail (and I think looks nicer - just my opinion).
