I need some ideas for a lady who works in our library and soon is retiring. I don't really know her but since she is such a nice lady I would like to make her a cake.
Since her name is Dianna, they call her "Princess". So I am thinking something along Princess theme???
I would really appreciate your help and ideas thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

Before I saw the Princess part, I would have said to do a stacked book cake. Those look so fun and I can't wait to try one.

Could you incorporate the books and the Princess themes?

What about finding out what her favorite book is? Then you could do a book cake that includes that. Or you could do a Princess & the Pea book (or some other princess-related title). Sounds like a fun challenge!

somewhere incorporate a "due back" card that is stamped -- NEVER!

possible titles for a stack of books:

The Royal Treatment: I Deserve It!

Princess Pampering Possibilities

The Retired Life: It's a Royal Good Time

Thanks, Doug. You said what I was thinking better than I could.

Books with titles like those, with a princess crown on top? Maybe even a 'slipper' too and something like 'Off to a land far, far away?'.

"And She Lived Happily Ever After" (could add "in Retirement")
