I am starting a new business and will be wanting to order more than just what i would normally pick up in Hobby Lobby or where ever. I love Global Sugar Art, but can you all list your other online resources that have reasonable prices and shipping rates? I will need everything from food supplies, fondant, dragees to boxes, chefs coats, pans, etc....
I love www.countrykitchen.com, www.globalsugarart.com, and www.rezzycakes.com and www.confectioneryhouse.com. Great customer service and fast shipping from them all.
Once you are in business you can purchase from CK products. they have the best prices I've seen. Way lower than retail.
Use CK Products once you get your wholesale account...Country Kitchen Sweetarts is their retail division.
For chocolate molds and products, we use CK Products, Life of the Party, and Choklit Molds.
Check to see if Restaurant Depot is in your area. We get our cream cheese, butter, coats, paper supplies, and pans from there. It mostly appeals to the general food retailer, but you can find things to use in a bakery/cake shop/pastry shop.

i just posted a long list on my blog:

Into the Oven has good prices on fondant & has special sales if you join their forum plus they do sell wholesale.
Pisky Pixie Sugarcraft gives you free shipping on orders above $75 and the prices are great.

I know some of those sites require you to have a federal tax id number to order from them. When I went to the CK products website it said you need to email them a copy of tax number/vendor license, is that the same as the federal tax id or are they needing something else?
Thanks
Our Fed tax i.d. is a 9-digit # that looks like xx-xxxxxxx, but it's called a employer i.d. #,(FEIN), and that's what I've always used. I think we got it when we set up our business name online, but it's been so long ago I can't recall where.
American Decorating Magazine has an online site that you can go to and get suppliers names from also they will list it in the front of their magazine.
I love Global because if Alan doesnt carry it, ask him and he will try to get it for you! Also like creativecutters.com which is Geraldine Randome's site. She carrys the impression mats and also some really great dust colors that you cant find anywhere else in the US (that Ive found anyway!)
There is also Cava Java online, First Impressions Molds, Happy Chef Uniforms and make your own molds.com. All great places!
