I am a beginner and I am looking for a make at home recipe that does not have butter or cream or milk or anything that would require finished cake to be stored in fridge. I mostly make cakes for family get togethers and I have to travel about 2 hrs by car with (in the heat sometimes) them.
Right now I have a recipe that uses Brite White but I can't seem to find it online so I have to drive 45 min to my "local" bakery store and they sell it in small tubs---not to practical for me.

Thanks for the help

The Wilton recipe - either as written with milk, or subbing water is quite stable at room temp. The recipe is in their books and online at their website.

Try Serious Cakes buttercream. I use it all the time and it does not require refrigeration.

Do a recipe search....it's easy to make.

I've also heard that Sugar Shack's recipe also does not require refrigeration.

B'cream even using 1/2 butter 1/2 Crisco will not spoil at room temps.

IndyDebi's recipe is a good one as is SugarShack's.
