I am using the diamond impression mat on a cake that is going to be airbrushed.
Should I do the impression before airbrushing or afterwards?

Just decided to color the icing instead of airbrusing....

In the future, you'll want to airbrush AFTER using the impression mat. Generally, you don't want to futz around with the icing after airbrushing to avoid cracks in the color.

Ditto to what DianeM says....if you do the impression mat after you airbrush it pulls the color off the cake.Especially if you airbrush a white cake...

Thanks.
I didn't even think about the mat affecting the color and the white possibly showing thru...
I will remember that in the future to use the mat before airbrushing...
