Refridgerated Buttercream

Is two weeks too long to leave buttercream icing in the fridge? Its only butter and icing sugar so I'm thinking that maybe it's ok for over a week? any help will do thanks!!

I have already left my up to a month in the fridge. Just make sure you mix it up really good before you use it.
