Hey Ladies,

I am fairly new at decorating cakes. I understand that I can't use Gold or Silver Luster Dust or the dragees here in California.

Since I can't use the gold or silver luster dust, are there any alternatives to use in order to achieve the gold color. I wanted to make some Christmas ornament cupcakes and some other items that require the gold color but I don't know what else to use. I have tried looking through the threads and I haven't found any alternatives.

Any ideas and help is GREATLY appreciated!!!

Merry Christmas!

Dragees have been out of CA for about 20 years now but I didn't know about dusts not being allowed - are you sure of that?

The only local store that I have tried is Michaels, if that counts. Y'all don't laugh. (LOL). I am an ebay junkie and that is where I have bought all of my supplies from.

Ooohhh try some of the CA shops......I bet you won't have any problems getting any.
As for doing anything w/o dusts well you just won't come closeicon_sad.gif

And.......NO! Michael's don't count for dusts icon_smile.gif
