I have to do a carrot cake for someone who cannot have cream cheese. What other icing ideas are there for this cake??? I am totally stumped. This person also cannot have butter. Odd allergy problem. Please help.

Well, b'cream made w/all Crisco should be o.k. Use butter flavoring in it and it's won't be too bad.

Add a couple of drops of Lorann cheesecake flavoring to the Crisco icing for a cream cheese flavor.

I use a BC icing with just shortening, (Crisco) powdered sugar and milk. If milk is a problem also ...maybe rice milk or soy milk Works good with most cake flavors. .
