Help! How Do I Make A Cake To Look Like A Finger?

this week I cut my finger at work, slicing cucumbers and had to go to the hospital for stiches. as a thank you to all those who helped, I would like to make a cake! Of course I thought it would be cute to make it look like a finger with "blood" oozing out of the side. any suggestions?

My idea is a jelly roll cake. You can make it look like a folded finger. Then cover with BC and add details.
That really sounds like fun to do!!! Good luck.
