Ok my trusty and very wise cake gurus..I need your help and thankfully I have time (its not due for awhile).

Here is the inspiration: http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-photo_1274883.html

I have this cake stand and would like to make the balls soccer balls of course..but does anyone know what to do with the the cake rounds?

So far all I could come up with is a field and one of the other layers the insignia of the team. I am at a loss for the other one. One of my DD's said I should make the top two tiers goals. Any one care to add their ideas? The cake will be for one of my other DD's team...of course I have to be the mom to show up with the unusual item...

Boy soccer cakes are hard for me too - I wish I could help, but this will at least give you a bump!

I think the soccer goal is a great idea. What about doing a wide netting pattern (for the goal) and then writing the last name of each player (or their jersey numbers) in various places on the tier? You could also try to do something with soccer cleats. Sounds like a fun project.
