The butter is thawing as we speak...can I just make a half batch of the recipe? And I plan to omit the baking powder as was suggested on here in a different post...

So will it turn out ok? Hope I'm not asking a "duh" question, but I know problems can arise when doubling certain recipes, so I just want to be careful with halving this recipe. Thanks for the help!

I have never halved the recipe. However, I have frozen the cookies and after cutting them out with wax paper between and they turned out great.

I half that recipe quite often (and I still include 1/2 the amount of baking powder) and it is just like the full batch! thumbs_up.gif

Yep, no problems. I find it just takes more scraping down the sides of the mixer bowl since there isn't as much in there to get beat around well, if that makes since. I also leave the baking powder in.

I reduce the baking powder to 1 teaspoon.
