I will be using RI and RBC for the first time to decorate cookies for Christmas Eve and Christmas day and I just had a few questions:

1. How far in advance to decorating the cookies can I make the RI and RBC?

2. How far in advance can I decorate them?

3. About how many cookies will a batch of RBC cover?

If you have any help, comments or suggestions for a newbie using these icings for the first time, I would really appreciate it.
I'm nervous since I've never used these before and just want to make sure I have all my bases covered.

Thanks so much.

I think RI keeps for two to three weeks. I freeze my unused RBC, so you could make it, freeze it, then thaw when needed. I have decorated with RI and RBC and frozen both and they thawed beautifully! I like to roll my RBC very thin, so it goes a long way. Good luck!
