I am so excited! I have finished college! I graduate from Texas A&M on Friday Dec. 12 and have excepted a job from PriceWaterHouseCoopers. It took me 5 years to get my degree, which included working part time for my parents on days I didnt have school, and driving 65 miles one way to school everyday I had class. I just wanted to share how great it feels and how sad it is to leave this part of my life behind. I also know there must be a lot of you that are in college as a typical student or maybe going back to school later in life and I wanted to wish you all the very best. Its a great feeling to be done and look back on all your accomplishments, so too all those who are not done just yet hang in there!

Educating oneself, no matter what or where, is never a waste of time.

Whoop! Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '03
Congratulations! I just graduated in May (Lyndon State of Vermont) with a BS in Acct & Business, and just started at a Captive Insurance Mgmt Firm. Not PWC, but still an international firm. And don't worry about having a 5 year bachelors degree - mine was 8 years!
Well done!!!!!

So you say your degee was not in English.
I'm totally teasing. My kid has a master's in creative writing and poetry and she taught high school english--I used to hate to write to her because I didn't want any typos. She's doing something else now so that seems to have relieved some of the (my self-inflicted) pressure.
But honestly, when I'm posting, I think, 'wonder how many typos Chutzpah's gonna catch on me?"
