Nfsc Are Hard

I have a whole batch of them left, I just made a few to see how they would taste, but they are not soft!!

Were they suppose to be hard, I followed the recipe!!

Is there anything I can do to make this dough in the fridge softer??? I would hate to throw a whole container away!

HOw did you store them? Are they iced or just plain cookies?

I find that when I store them in ziploks, they seem to soften them a bit. Also, if they are iced, the icing will kinda absorb into the cookie, adding moisture, keeping them softer.

I just made the dough and only made 5 cookies, I have not don anything with them yet! This is my first try at cookies

These are cut-out cookies and are not supposed to be soft. They wouldn't hold the shape if they were. If they're crispy, you maybe baked them too long. Maybe you're wanting an old fashioned round sugar cookie?
