Does anyone use the Ghiradelli chocolate candy coating? You know, the one that Sam's sells? I was wondering how it holds up... if it gets all melty when eating a covered oreo. Also, if it tastes good? Thumbs up or down? I don't have the time to temper real chocolate (or the $$, if truth be told!)

I have used the double chocolate and white both. The white melts a little faster, but only when I hold it in my hand too long before eating the Oreo! I have covered Oreo's several weeks before I need them and the cookies taste like I just did them. The double chocolate is delicious and the white definitely tastes better than candy melts.

I love their white chocolate....not so crazy about the double chocolate, but it's not terrible or anything. The white chocolate is great, though.
I just found a big bag of Guittard choc. melts in my candy closet. I think I'll try those and the Ghiradelli and see which tastes better. I have tried the Ghiradelli white and love it for drizzling on my Christmas biscotti and fudge.
I used Ghiradelli for my Christmas mice - dipping the cherries. It worked great, tasted great and was really easy to work with.
I love the Sams dipping choc ( Ghiradelli ) Its yummy and melts so easy to!
