I have an upcoming cake (the 13th) and the customer has requested a Notre Dame jersey. Ok no problem with that. The question is that I wanted to airbrush the fondant the navy blue color. What is the best way to get this color? Should I do layers of airbrushing to get the color, or mix up a color and then spray it on the cake? Hoping someone has done this before, or have a suggestion. Any help would be great. I know I can mix the color into the fondant, but god that is just a ton of work, and my arms and hands like me much better when I just airbrush! THanks ALL!!![/b]

Use a navy blue ab color and then do several thin coats - just like any other painting with an ab or spray can.

Yes, I would do both.......mix the color - a tiny dot of black added to blue and layer on several coats. Be sure each one dries before adding more.
