I need to make a Bible and need input on how to wrap the fondant so that it does not fall when I drape it over the rectangular cake but stands straight out like the sides of a book. Should I roll the fondant thicker?
cover the whole rectangle & sides in one piece.
I take it this is a closed book so the one piece should do it.
If you want to put fondant on sides of a cake put somehting sticky (buttercream, piping gel, heated jam, whatever) on 1st then apply the fondant. It needs something sticky to hold it.
