Hi, I have a square wedding cake for this weekend....any suggestions on how to make the corners look perfect? I can't seem to master that. It will be 3 tiers...6/10/14 with a ribbon around each tier...any suggestions are appreciated...Thanks!
Are you going to be using BC or Fondant?
Hi! I hope this helps you, I use a combination of these to articles from here on CC. The helped me alot.
HEre's some step by step pics on how I do it: http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopicp-5396443-.html#5396443
I think the big trick is to Melvira the icing when it's done. Also don't ice to the shape of the cake. Use the icing to shape the corners into a sharp point, nicely squared off. (meaning if you have a rounded corner, or one that slightly domes, don't ice it slightly domed ... build the icing up and square it off.)
thanks so much for the great info......and to answer your question i'm using fondant
